Responsibilities

Analyzing the project – defining scope of the project through analyzing project brief and source content, raising and resolving any queries during the evaluation phase
Producing quotes for the client
Assigning tasks to the appropriate linguists in the relevant tools/platforms
Providing appropriate hand-off instructions for the linguists
Creating and maintaining appropriate project planning and scheduling
Monitoring deadlines and following-up with linguists to ensure they are met
Assigning appropriate tasks to colleagues in other departments (DTP, Engineering, etc.)
Query handling during the project
Ensuring all project administration is effectuated in real-time and all systems kept up to date
Ensuring relevant tools and platforms are used correctly and according to processes
Monitoring and ensuring project budgets and profitability targets are achieved.
Ensuring the quality strategy is adhered to by executing the quality plan
Pre-delivery QA checks
Ensuring projects are delivered within the agreed timelines by effectively planning the project and assessing risks, liaising with your line manager to put any contingencies in place
Ensuring all linguistic assets are kept up to date
Ensuring all projects and tasks are ready for invoicing at the appropriate time
Maintain any client-specific trackers are kept up to date and are accurate
Time logging – timely and accurate time logging
Handling Client-review edits and feedback

Requirements

Client satisfaction: you will take the appropriate steps to ensure client satisfaction and repeat business. You should consider your client as either being an external end-client or it could be the person who asked you to manage a task for them. Keep that client informed of progress and project issues as appropriate.

Processes & procedures: you will have an understanding of the company’s processes and procedures and adhere to them.

Translation tools: you will use the company’s project management system and translation tools and to enhance quality and productivity. You will discuss any areas of concern in terms of knowledge of the translation tools with your line manager in order for training to be put into place.

Quality: you will make sure that the quality of deliverables is in line with or above the clients’ expectations. You will liaise with your line manager for any doubts you may have and will take full responsibility to immediately escalate any issues that arise on projects.

Profitability: Closely monitor supplier assigned costs are accurately assigned to ensure project profit targets are achieved.

On-time delivery: you will ensure that your projects are delivered within the agreed timelines by planning your project and assessing risk so as to put contingencies in place where necessary with the guidance of your line manager.

Data and records: you will ensure that all client-, supplier-, and project-data are kept up-to-date and stored in the correct place for ease of future retrieval.
