General overview of the role
We’re looking for an experienced and talented Quantitative Game Designer with a sensibility for game design, and passion for creating excellent user experiences and engaging interactive systems. In this role, you’ll be responsible for designing and managing important game features that further our strategic engagement vision while collaborating with narrative designers to stay true to the larger goals of the IP.
While our office is located in San Francisco, the entire Funomena team is currently working remotely due to the pandemic. We are open to remote hires!
Responsibilities
Conceptualize critical features designed to drive engagement and player retention.
Work closely with design, production & engineering stakeholders to iterate on design.
Strategize and manage user testing to identify insights for tuning existing and future content.
Develop unique in-game KPIs that drive feature development and tuning, while respecting user privacy requirements on all target platforms.

Requirements
Multiple years of experience in mobile and/or free-to-play game development, having shipped multiple titles.
Proven ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
Experience and comfort working with iterative design processes
Strong analytical skills and experience with data-driven, user-centric design, and decision-making
Equivalent experience in game design or product management.
University-level education (or equivalent level of industry experience)
Fluent with Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Slides.
Detail Oriented, highly communicative and collaborative
Proactive, upbeat, and have a can-do attitude in the face of uncertainty
Passionate about creating great games, with the ability to balance creative and business needs with the needs of players
Open to sharing knowledge and learning from your team members
Thorough in your understanding of industry standards in project management, and agile in adapting them to work within small, iterative, highly interdisciplinary and creative teams
Skills considered as a good plus
Knowledge in creating games for non-traditional or underserved audiences
Familiarity managing and analyzing projects with live service components
Background in working with external development partners and/or publishers
Familiarity with Unity and/or other game development software
Previous experience with iOS, iPad and Android devices.
