We are seeking a strong Business Analyst for our existing client, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). While this role supports FAA HQ in Oklahoma City, it offers 100% telecommuting opportunity for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

The Scrum Master is accountable for building software systems for the FAALC and the ideal candidate has demonstrated success in an environment which offers ambiguously defined problems, big challenges, and quick changes. The Scrum Master will be expected to balance detailed execution with speed and possess solid collaborative skills. The FAALC is a fast-paced environment where every day brings new challenges and new opportunities. This position will refine the software development processes, contribute cross-functional technical and product expertise, assess and manage risks, anticipate and resolve bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance business needs with technical constraints. This position involves regular communication with senior management on project status and risks. Executive presentation skills are essential.

Help Team, stakeholders and leadership understand Scrum Values and Principles and drive adoption
Ensure that goals, scope, and product are understood by everyone on the Team
Understand and practice agility, and facilitate Scrum routines as needed
Coach the Team in practicing core agile principles of collaboration, self-organization, prioritization, accountability, and visibility
Partner with Product Owners to find techniques for effective Product Backlog creation and management
Help the Team understand the need for a clear and concise Product Backlog
Help those outside the Team understand helpful interactions with the Team
Remove impediments to the Team's progress and encourage change that increases productivity
Work with other Scrum Masters to increase the effectiveness of the application of Agile Frameworks
Ask difficult questions, make problems visible, and empower the Team to grow via self-organization
Encourage reliability and ownership of the Team to deliver commitments on or ahead of schedule
Exemplify an inclusive, safe culture by intentionally cultivating morale with laughter and fun
Think critically to identity root causes, looking beyond a problem's surface to offer sustainable solutions
Create and automate meaningful metrics and dashboards to drive team health conversations in retrospection
Own Agile Lifecycle Management tool and optimize Agile processes within the tool
Initiate Lean process improvements to reduce waste and focus the Team on value-add tasks

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in computer science or Business-related degree or equivalent work experience
Interpersonal skills and ability to work on diverse teams with high visibility products
Exposure to Agile methodologies and practices
Knowledge of IT concepts, strategies, methodologies, architectures and technical standards
Strong facilitation skills in leading planning meetings, demos, and retrospectives
Problem solving and the ability to resolve conflicts through strong mediation skills
Clear communication skills and ability to deliver complex messages and teach new concepts
Proven leadership experience in achieving successful outcomes
Developed emotional intelligence and persuasive negotiation skills
Demonstrated ability to lead cross functional teamwork in and across teams and organizations
Fully committed to transparency in all situations
