General overview of the role
As a Senior Sound Designer at Hexany, your role will be highly creative and collaborative. Though the focus will be designing sounds and creating content, you will also work as a Project Lead and oversee the work of our sound designers on certain projects and be responsible for final quality of the projects you own. We’re currently working on a variety of awesome unannounced projects and place a strong value on work-life balance; your weekends and evenings will be your own!
Responsibilities
Designing awesome sounds for all types of games and interactive experiences
Serving as a project lead to review assets from our sound team and ensure our high quality standards are met
Mixing in stereo and surround formats
Field recording source material
Implementing sounds in Wwise and other audio middleware
Occasionally recording, editing, and processing dialogue
Requirements
A passion for video games
Minimum 3 years experience working in video game sound design
Proficiency with Reaper, Pro Tools, or a similar DAW
Experience working with Wwise or similar audio middleware
Extreme attention to detail and great organizational skills
A team-player mentality and the ability to provide constructive criticism and feedback to other designers
Skills considered as a good plus
Experience integrating assets in Unity + Unreal
Experience working in VR
Other information
This is a full-time salaried position in-house. Contractors need not apply. Also note this is NOT a music composition position.
Due to COVID-19 we are presently permitting work-from-home, but due to the need to provide our team with specialized computers and equipment, relocation to the Los Angeles area is required prior to start. Unfortunately we do not have any flexibility in this regard and cannot offer exceptions to this policy.
