Tester (Spanish Mexico)
General overview of the project(s)
Testers are experienced subject matter experts - they have a strong understanding of search relevance, QA fields and customer expectations, consistently delivering high standards in an environment of frequent change. They lead by example, building solid relationships to collaborate effectively with customers, managers and peers. Testers take a high degree of initiative and ownership in order to stay one step ahead in all areas of performance and delivery.
Improve the results of internet searches for Spanish (Mexico)
Support research initiatives that improve search and recommendations features.
Handle day-to-day relevance judgement tasks for target market and ensure projects are completed on time.
Collaborate with other teams to evaluate and analyze search algorithms, metadata accuracy and identify opportunities for improvement.
Evaluate specific search result queries to entire pages, which could include multimedia, maps and news functions.
Minimum 2 years of experience in one or more of the following fields: Data Processing, Search and/or Map Relevance, Software Testing, Data Analysis or Taxonomy Maintenance.
Experience with web search and QA is essential.
Idiomatic fluency in Spanish (Mexico) required. Candidates must have previously lived in Mexico.
Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
Must have extensive cultural, political and economic knowledge of Mexico. A deep, market-specific familiarity with cultural nuances is integral to this role as these insights will feed into customer analytics to improve and localize online experiences for APAC-based service users.
Basic experience with Mac OS required.
Ability to work successfully with teams on multiple projects under tight deadlines.
